Latrobe is one of the oldest townships on the North-West Coast of Tasmania dating back as early as 1856. Situated on the Mersey River, Latrobe was originally established as a shipping port. Latrobe has a rich history of woodchopping and cycling carnivals that still can be enjoyed annually over the Christmas & New Year period.

Our local Landcare volunteers lovingle care for Warawee Reserve where local Platypus can be viewed. Platypus tours can be arranged.

Latrobe has great Cafe's & Bistro's which includes the teriffic Belly's Bar & Grill.  Also the home of Anvers Chocolates and their delicious Truffles & Chocolates
